"The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" (1966), Directed by Sergio Leone

As captivating as it is long lasting, The Good The Bad and The Ugly follows 3 characters on their ruthless race toward buried treasure. Set during the American Civil War, TGTBaTU is simple and formulaic, coupled with a badass soundtrack so sticky and resonating you're bound to hear it in your head long after the film finishes.

The music helps float the boat passing with the lingering intricately framed imagery. The call and response rhythm of the music and relative juxtaposition of images play a huge part in blending these two aesthetics. It is pleasing to the eyes and ears. TGTBaTU It manages to be universally entertaining and despite its 3 hour length, it still thoroughly rewarding to watch through.

This is one for the ages. Clint Eastwood will forever be immortal with what is arguably the greatest installment of the most important chapter of his acting career.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly receives an indisputable 10/10 as an international hit and classic.
